about

This is Stopcox's demo tape / CD-R.
It was recorded 25/26 April 2002 at the UFO Sound Studios, mainly by Cable Street Beat Bodo.
Mixdown / mastering by Grobi (first time ever).

Five of the tracks on this demo later also appeared on the first album 'How to tell bad news...'. In retrospective, the versions on this demo are somewhat rawer but also more intense in a good; better way. This is one of the reasons for why I have uploaded it now (it took some digging to get all the files and artwork though ... and lots of cockroach shit ...).
As you will find out and may appreciate, English is not Stopcox's first language, so mistake have been made.
Lots.
But this did not stop the band, and in multicultural Berlin and Europe where many people of different backgrounds speak some form of English (or pigeon) it is about bringing the message across.

Download of the whole tape includes jpg files of the original tape inlet with lyrics.

released July 7, 2002

Tobias aka Kettä : Vocals
Modlicha : Vocals
Daschke : Drums
Spange : Bass
Grobi : Guitar, Backing Vocals

The band formed in 2000 with Mickey on the guitar who also contributed to the song / text writing of the majority of the songs on this tape; however, he left for Flensburg around the turn of 2001/2002. Grobi and Modlicha joined in 2002 more or less simultaneously.

The cover is a "melange" or "mash up" of a comic by Thomas Ott.

about

Anti Machine Records Perth, Australia

Anti Machine Records is a punk and hardcore label from Perth, WA. AMR releases predominantly online and many of the downloads are for free with a donation option. Most bands are either from Berlin / Germany or Perth and I either recorded and/or mixed these releases here on bandcamp or/and I played myself in these bands. So it's all more or less family.

Cheers, Grobi
